Prohibited Roads in Kyrgyzstan
Roads in Kyrgyzstan Where Driving is Not Permitted
For safety reasons, driving is not allowed in the following areas:
- Tosor Pass – hazardous off-road terrain
- Altyn Arashan valley(gorge) – driving prohibited
- Karakol Gorge – after the last bridge
- Chatyr Kol – Kel-Suu road – all bridges damaged
- Kel-Suu Lake (after yurt camp) – last 8 km must be done on foot or by horses
- Enilchek (after Mayda-Adyr Base Camp) – no bridges over deep rivers
- Kok-Airyk Pass – road no longer exists (map error)
- Ton Pass – road no longer exists (map error)
- Karkara Valley (after base camp) – no bridges over deep rivers
- Sary-Jaz Valley – hazardous off-road terrain
- Kyzyl-Oi – Toluk – hazardous off-road terrain
- Turasu Valley – no bridges over deep rivers
- Aksu gorge
- Ak Shyyrak village
- Burhan Pass – Arabel
- Terek Pass
- Toluk – Kyzyl Oi Road
- Kegeti Pass
Also, please note that the road “from Naryn town to Kel Suu Lake” and “from Ak Su village to Enylcheck” is not allowed for Subaru Forester. However, it is allowed for our other vehicles.
Any violation of these restrictions will incur a fine as outlined in the rental contract.
