Tour Program

Day 1. Bishkek city – Ala-Archa National Park – Chon Kemin valley

Morning pickup from Bishkek city. Our plan for today is to visit Ala Archa National Park, a picturesque spot known for its picnics and walks, surrounded by 20 glaciers.

We’ll enjoy a leisurely walk along the river or opt for a hike up the mountains for a breathtaking view of the valley.

Lunch in a local cafe.

Then, we’ll head to Chon Kemin, where we’ll have dinner and stay overnight in a guesthouse.

Day 2. Chon Kemin - Hot Springs - Karakol town

After breakfast, enjoy horseback riding, or sleigh ride in the snowy Chon Kemin Valley. in the snowy valley.

Drive to natural hot springs and relax in the warm mineral water under the open sky near the north shore of Issyk-Kul Lake.

Lunch on the way in a cafe.

Then transfer to Karakol town. Dinner at a café and overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 3. Karakol Ski Resort

Spend a day at Karakol Ski Resort, renowned for its breathtaking views and variety of activities.

In the morning, we’ll rent skiing/snowboarding equipment and transfer to ski resort. Enjoy skiing or snowboarding. You can hire a ski instructor for extra payment(~$20 per hour).

Also, options like ice skating, paragliding, and snowmobile tours are available in the ski resort.

Also, we can ride the elevator to a panoramic viewpoint at 3,040 meters, overlooking the Tian Shan Mountains.

Have lunch at the resort, and in the evening, return to Karakol for dinner. Overnight stays at hotel in Karakol.

Day 4. Karakol - Jyrgalan valley - Turgen valley - Karakol

After breakfast, drive 1 hour to Jyrgalan Valley, known for its pristine nature and snowy landscapes. Enjoy a sleigh ride pulled by horses or riding horses.

Have lunch with a local family at a guesthouse.

Continue to Turgen Valley to take photos and admire the wide snowy valley and surrounding mountains.

Return to Karakol for dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5. Karakol - Issyk Kul lake - Jeti Oguz - Skazka canyon - Bishkek

After breakfast, explore the north shore of Issyk-Kul Lake, with a stop to admire the lake itself.

Drive to Jeti Oguz Red Rocks, where we’ll walk up to a panoramic view.(10 mins walking one-way).

Have lunch at a guesthouse in a nearby village.

Continue to Skazka Canyon, a unique and beautiful canyon to explore.

Drive to Bishkek for dinner and drop-off anywhere in Bishkek city.

Clothes & Equipment

You can bring everything you need. Remember that in the summer, Bishkek can get as hot as 40 degrees Celsius, and it can be as cold as minus 5 degrees Celsius in the mountains. Be ready for sudden changes in the weather.

Recommended:

  • Rain-coat
  • Waterproof pants
  • Sweater/fleece
  • Wind-stopper
  • Enough t-shirts and other underwear (think of taking smth with long sleeves to avoid sunburns)
  • Power bank (to charge devices)
  • Hat (remember – the sun can be violent)
  • Sun-screen cream (30 or higher)
  • Insect repellent (skin + clothes)
  • Good, waterproof trekking boots for easy hikes in the mountains.
  • Walking shoes (don’t need heavy ones) for the city walks
  • Personal first aid kit (most likely problems: blisters, sunburns, allergy, diarrhoea, sore muscles after hikes. Take painkillers, anti-histaminic, antibiotics of general action, and anything you need for your usual medical conditions).
  • Personal hygiene kit (disinfection gel is highly recommended) + some toilet paper.
  • A small towel
  • Swimming suit (for Issyk-Kul)
  • Sunglasses
  • A smaller backpack, except for your normal suitcase.
  • Flash light (torch)
  • Walking poles if needed
