In the afternoon, we start exploring Bishkek. The city is young and was once a military fort called “Pishpek” during the Russian Empire. Later, it grew during the Soviet years and became the capital.

We will walk around Ala-Too Square, see the White House, Oak Park, Victory Square, the city center, and stop by a souvenir shop. Bishkek is known for its many trees and nice parks.

In the evening, we enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Meals included: None
Accommodation: Hotel 3*

Day 2. Bishkek – Burana Tower – Son Kul Lake

After breakfast, we drive to Burana Tower, an important historical site from the ancient city of Balasagun. Around the tower, you will see old grave stones, earth mounds, and the remains of buildings. There is also a small museum and Balbal statues — old stone figures made to honor the dead.

We then continue to Son Kul Lake, a high mountain lake at 3,016 meters. This area is famous for nomadic life. Men ride horses and take care of sheep, cows, and horses, while women prepare meals, clean, bake bread, and make dairy products from cow and horse milk.

At Son Kul, you will see wide open valleys, free-roaming horses, and beautiful mountain views. You will have free time to walk, explore the area, or hike to a small hill for a panoramic view.
