Magic of Kyrgyzstan 2027 – 10-Day Small Group Adventure

Arrive in Bishkek at any time and meet at the hotel at 14:00 for check-in. If you arrive later, you can simply join the group when you arrive.

At 14:30, we’ll have a welcome meeting with our guide and the other group members.

After the meeting, we’ll start our Bishkek city tour. We’ll visit the National History Museum, Ala-Too Square, the Old White House, and Victory Square.

In the evening, we’ll enjoy a welcome dinner at a traditional restaurant and try some Kyrgyz national dishes.

Note: We highly recommend booking an extra night before the tour, as many international flights arrive in Bishkek late at night or early in the morning.

After breakfast, we’ll drive to Burana Tower, an important historical site from the ancient city of Balasagun. Here, we’ll see old stone statues known as Balbals, archaeological ruins, and a small museum.

Then, we’ll continue our journey to Son Kul Lake, a beautiful mountain lake located at 3,016 meters above sea level. Surrounded by mountains and green pastures, Son Kul is a perfect place to experience the traditional nomadic life of Kyrgyzstan.

On the way, we’ll stop for lunch and try Kattama, a traditional Kyrgyz bread.

During the summer, local families stay in yurts around the lake with their horses and livestock. You’ll have free time to walk around, enjoy the peaceful nature, or hike to nearby hills for beautiful views of the lake.

In the evening, we’ll join a cooking masterclass and learn how to make Boorsok, traditional Kyrgyz fried bread.

After breakfast, we’ll enjoy a 2-hour horseback ride along Son Kul Lake or ride up to a nearby viewpoint for panoramic views.

Afterwards, we’ll leave Son Kul and drive to the remote Kok Kiya Valley, located near Kel Suu Lake. The drive takes several hours through beautiful mountain areas. Along the way, we’ll stop for lunch, short breaks, and photos, including a stop at the scenic 33 Parrots Pass.

We’ll arrive at Kok Kiya in the late afternoon and check into our guesthouse or yurt camp.

Today, we’ll spend the day exploring Kel Suu Lake, one of the most beautiful and remote places in Kyrgyzstan.

After breakfast, we’ll begin our hike to Kel Suu Lake, which takes around 2.5 hours each way. Once we reach the lake, we’ll have time to explore the area and enjoy the impressive mountain views.

You can also take an optional boat ride on Kel Suu Lake to see the lake and its high cliffs from the water.

We’ll have a picnic lunch with a beautiful view and some free time to relax and take photos.
In the afternoon, we’ll hike back to our camp, where we’ll have dinner and rest after an active day.

After breakfast, you’ll have around 3 hours of free time in Kok Kiya Valley. You can go horseback riding (optional), take a short hike in the nearby mountains, or simply relax and enjoy the quiet surroundings.

After lunch, we’ll leave the valley and drive to Kochkor village.

In Kochkor, we’ll check into a local family-run guesthouse and have dinner.

After breakfast, we’ll start our journey toward Issyk Kul Lake, one of the largest mountain lakes in the world.

Our first stop will be Kyzyl Tuu village, known for traditional yurt making. We’ll visit a local family of yurt makers, who will show us how Kyrgyz yurts are made and explain each step. We’ll also help them put a yurt together and learn more about this important part of Kyrgyz culture.

We’ll have lunch with the local family before continuing our trip.

Next, we’ll visit Ak Sai Canyon on the southern shore of Issyk Kul. We’ll take a short hike to a viewpoint with beautiful views of the canyon, mountains, and lake.

Then, we’ll continue to Bokonbaevo village, where we’ll meet a local eagle hunter and watch a traditional golden eagle hunting demonstration.

After the eagle show, we’ll drive to our yurt camp on the shore of Issyk Kul Lake. You’ll have free time to relax, swim if the weather is good, or simply enjoy the lake.

In the morning, we’ll visit Skazka Canyon, also called Fairytale Canyon. We’ll walk among its colorful and unusual rock formations, enjoy the views, and have plenty of time for photos.

Afterwards, we’ll drive toward Kok Jaiyk Valley, with a lunch stop along the way.

In the valley, we’ll enjoy a 2–3 hour round-trip horseback ride through beautiful mountain scenery. If the weather is clear, we’ll also have great views of Oguz Bashy Peak.

After breakfast, we’ll start with an approximately 1-hour hike to Devichi Kosy Waterfall, enjoying beautiful views of Kok Jaiyk Valley along the way.

Then, we’ll drive to the famous Jeti Oguz Rocks, where we’ll have lunch with views of the red rock formations.

In the afternoon, we’ll continue to Karakol town. Here, we’ll visit the historic Dungan Mosque and Russian Orthodox Church.

After the city tour, we’ll check into our hotel and have dinner at a local café. The evening is free for you to relax and enjoy your time in Karakol.

After breakfast, we’ll leave Karakol and drive along the northern shore of Issyk Kul Lake.
We’ll visit Grigorievka and Semenovka Gorges, two neighboring mountain valleys with forests, rivers, green pastures, and beautiful mountain views.

We’ll also visit the nomad village built for the 2026 World Nomad Games and have lunch surrounded by nature.

In the late afternoon, we’ll continue our drive to Bishkek. After arrival, we’ll stop at a souvenir shop where you can buy local gifts and souvenirs.

In the evening, we’ll enjoy our farewell dinner together before checking into the hotel for the final night.

After breakfast at the hotel, you’re free to leave at any time depending on your flight schedule. Hotel check-out is at 12:00.
